Dr. Francisco Vega MD

GENERAL AND VASCULAR SURGEON

Francisco Vega, MD, is an experienced surgeon serving adults at Mission Surgical Clinic with locations in Riverside, California.

Dr. Vega began his professional education at California State University, Fullerton, earning his Bachelor of Science. Following graduation, he enrolled at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and obtained his Doctor of Medicine.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Vega completed a general surgery residency at the University of California, Riverside, and a vascular fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Vega proudly holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American Student Medical Association.

As a surgeon, he has special interests in minimally invasive procedures like laparoscopy and endoscopy. Dr. Vega is fluent in English and Spanish, enabling him to serve the practice’s diverse patient base.

Dr. Michael Chin MD, FACS, RPVI

GENERAL SURGEON

Michael Chin, MD, FACS, RPVI, is a board-certified surgeon at Mission Surgical Clinic, which has locations in Riverside, & Corona, California. He specializes in treating a wide range of vascular and general disorders. Dr. Chin has practiced in the greater Riverside County metropolitan area for over 28 years.

Dr. Chin earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. He went on to complete a general surgery residency at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. He then advanced his training with a vascular surgery fellowship with the renowned Dr. Max Gasper in Long Beach.

He has been integral in developing new surgical training programs in the Inland Empire and is well-regarded by his peers and patients alike. He is compassionate about teaching and is a member of the core faculty of the Riverside Community Hospital General Surgery Residency Program.

He is on the Board of Advisors of the California Baptist University Physician’s Assistant Program. Dr. Chin is active with his alma mater, USC, in its alumni association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the International College of Surgeons.

Dr. Chin is a member of the American Hernia Society (AHS), the Vascular Access Society of America (VASA), the California Medical Association (CMA), the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBS), and the Riverside County Medical Society (RCMA).

Dr. Chin, who has developed deep roots in the Inland Empire, is dedicated to providing skilled surgical care to all his patients.

Shin Chern (Judy) Wang, M.D. is board certified in general surgery and fellowship trained as a bariatric surgeon with a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Dr. Wang approaches each patient with empathy, open communication, and a commitment to a lasting patient relationship built upon individualized treatment plans.

After graduating from UCLA medical school, Dr. Wang honed her surgical skills during residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr Wang is fully trained and well experienced in performing most general surgery procedures.

Furthermore, Dr. Wang completed fellowship in bariatric/minimally invasive surgery training at Houston Methodist Hospital, gaining expertise in advanced weight loss procedures and foregut surgeries.

Since 2017, Dr. Wang has been serving the Inland Empire with utmost compassion and commitment. Driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact, Dr. Wang is dedicated to working closely with her patients on their transformative weight loss journeys

I am a native Southern Californian who attended University of California, Irvine for my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. I worked as an EMT and then attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. My Residency in General Surgery at was at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Southern California. During my residency, I realized my calling to focus on surgery for breast cancer. I completed a Fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Illinois. I returned to Southern Californian roots and joined the team at Mission Surgical Clinic. I am a General surgeon and Breast Surgical Oncologist. I always felt the call to practice medicine. Surgery has allowed me to combine my passions for continuous learning and service to the community. As a Breast Surgical Oncologist, I understand the impact breast cancer has on all aspects of the patient’s life and how important it is to
treat each patient individually throughout her surgical journey. I committed to my patients by ensuring that they receive the best surgical care and comprehensive support.

Dr. James Pollack

A general surgeon has expertise related to the diagnosis – preoperative, operative and postoperative management – and management of complications of surgical conditions in the following areas: alimentary tract; abdomen; breast, skin and soft tissue; endocrine system; head and neck surgery; pediatric surgery; surgical critical care; surgical oncology; trauma and burns; and vascular surgery.
